"Parallel Bibles are invaluable tools. With a parallel Bible you can open to any page and see at a glance how multiple sets of Bible translators have translated any specific passage. I learned long ago that seeing these various translations greatly enhances my understanding of the Word, and I've been looking for just the right parallel Bible for me. I've found a very good one here, in The Hendrickson Parallel Bible, with its offering of the King James, New King James, and New International versions and the New Living Translation.
At a little larger than 6" x 9", over 2800 pages, and containing four translations, but only about 2" thick, the print in this hardcover edition is understandably small. Still, it is quite clean and readable. Too, the passages are truly parallel. Whatever the Scripture, you can be certain that all four translations will be on the two facing pages.
You'll find no maps, concordance, or index here. Except for the inclusion of the prefaces for each of the four versions, the Table of Contents, and some pertinent footnotes, this one dedicates all of its space to the Word.
